Partners and full-time Realtor, Crystal Elliott and Sandra Brookman Strickler are Team Shenandoah Valley, with RE/MAX Real Estate Connections in Front Royal.

“Crystal and I have been real estate partners for 17 years, and both of us have been full-time Realtors for over 25 years,” said Sandra. “We have lived in this area and raised our children here. We love our community and feel this area has so much to offer. We are an hour from D.C. and all the museums, a couple of hours to the beach, surrounded by the mountains and Shenandoah River, plus so much more. 

“We take pride in helping our military and first responder families sell or purchase a home. We love working with first-time home buyers and walking them through the process. We love helping our senior sellers and have an understanding of the difficult decisions that they and their families are making as they age. We have both been in this situation with our parents, so we understand how hard this is. 

She added that their partnership allows them to give people the quality of attention that two agents on the same page, career and lives and the same dedication to their clients who all live in the same area, bring with them.

“We’ve been friends for a long time and our partnership is a way to give us the ability to take time off,” she continued. “If one is on vacation then the other can be there and this way it works out really well.

Their priority is to be available for clients who are making their biggest purchase.

She added that clients have said working with Crystal is like working with her, either can buy or sell.

“I’ve lived in Front Royal my entire life,” she said.

They lived a few streets apart growing up, but didn’t know each other until they met when they worked at another real estate agency. They’ve been friends ever since and have been with RE/MAX for about five years, liking the fact that they’re working for the nationally known company that people are familiar with. The red, white and blue balloon gives clients the assurance that their agents are 99 percent experienced, she said.

Some of the partners’ many qualifications include these designations:

Certified Listing Expert, Certified Expert Buyers Agent, Certified Business Development Agent, and Residential Remodeling Specialists and Cellular Residential Specialists.

Also, asCertified Military Specialists, she says, “We take pride in working with first responders and the military.”

“We have led the local Operation Santa for over seven years. We help the Front Royal Fire Department raise money and candy to help this beloved community tradition of Operation Santa stay alive without taking additional funds from their already tight budget,” she said. “I am also the secretary for Katie’s Comfort House. We are raising funds to build a house to provide a place where families can spend their last moments with their loved ones in a private setting with all the accommodations that make a house feel like a home.

“This foundation was brought to life by the family of Katie Teets. An amazing young woman who battled and lost her life to Triple Negative Breast Cancer at the young age of 28. The Teets family vowed to provide a place that would offer a more comfortable environment than they had for the last days of her life. This foundation has raised over a million dollars so far, and we are ready to purchase land and to make this dream of theirs a reality. 

“I advocate for getting your yearly mammograms, early detection of breast cancer, and the importance of genetic testing,” she concluded.
