Front Royal, VA – The Warren County Department of Fire and Rescue Services is pleased to announce the return of its Citizens Fire Academy (CFA), beginning Wednesday, September 24, 2025. This free, seven-week program is open to adults who live or work in Front Royal or Warren County and are interested in gaining an insider’s perspective on local emergency services.
Each weekly session will focus on a different aspect of the department, giving participants a deeper understanding of the critical services provided by Warren County Fire and Rescue. Topics will include emergency medical services, fire suppression, and pathways to becoming a trained volunteer or career firefighter.
Program Highlights
- Interactive, hands-on activities: Learn and practice emergency operations skills alongside professional responders.
- Behind-the-scenes access: Tour fire and rescue stations and explore the equipment used in daily operations.
