PAGE COUNTY, Va. — Virginia State Police is investigating a fatal single-vehicle crash that occurred at 12:52 a.m. on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, on Kite Hollow Road in Page County.
According to police, a 2023 Mitsubishi Mirage was traveling in reverse on Kite Hollow Road with the driver’s side door open when it veered off the left side of the roadway and down an embankment, striking a tree.
The driver, identified as Jennifer N. Atwood, 42, of Luray, Virginia, died at the scene. Police say she was not wearing a seatbelt.
The crash remains under investigation.
