RICHMOND, Va. — Governor Glenn Youngkin announced on July 28 that the Virginia Veterans Network (VVN), an online platform built by veterans for veterans, has surpassed 30,000 registered users across the Commonwealth.
The VVN platform serves as a centralized, user-friendly hub that connects veterans, transitioning service members, and their families with hundreds of trusted nonprofit and government organizations. The free resource offers support in employment, health care, wellness, legal services, education, training, and peer support.
“We can never repay the tremendous debt we owe our veterans, but we can make their transition to civilian life as smooth as possible,” Youngkin said. “Our commitment to making Virginia the best state in America for veterans to live, work, and raise a family is unwavering.”
Since launching on November 11, 2024, the VVN has made it easier for veterans to access benefits and services, including scheduling appointments with the Virginia Department of Veterans Services and finding federal, state, and local resources in one portal.
Lieutenant Governor Winsome Earle-Sears called the milestone “not just a milestone, it’s personal,” citing her own experience as a Marine Corps veteran. Secretary of Veterans and Defense Affairs Craig Crenshaw and Department of Veterans Services Commissioner Chuck Zingler also recognized the platform’s growth and its value to Virginia’s estimated 700,000 veterans.
