Virginia State Police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred Sunday evening, August 3, 2025, on Oakwood Drive in Rockingham County.
At approximately 7:30 p.m., 20-year-old Marilyn A. Good of Rockingham, Va., was riding her bicycle eastbound on Oakwood Drive when she was struck from behind by a 2013 Kia Soul, also traveling eastbound.
Good died at the scene.
The driver of the Kia, Shelia Douglas, 85, of Harrisonburg, Va., has been charged with reckless driving and failing to allow a bicycle the appropriate distance when passing.
The crash remains under investigation by Virginia State Police.
