The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) Staunton District has released its scheduled highway work zones for the week of August 4–8, 2025. The work spans multiple counties, including Warren, Frederick, Shenandoah, Clarke, and Page, and includes both major highways and secondary roads.
Motorists are reminded to use caution in all work zones, especially during mowing, paving, and bridge inspection operations. Slow-moving tractors and flagger-controlled traffic will be present in several areas, and some roads will be closed to through traffic due to ongoing construction.

Right shoulder closures between mile markers 11–12 for bridge painting through August 31. I-81: Single lane closures (both directions) between mile markers 299–300 for median barrier and construction work, 8 p.m. to 7 a.m. through August 7.
