Make Your Voice Heard in Rappahannock Electric Cooperative’s Board of Director Elections

FREDERICKSBURG, Va. — Rappahannock Electric Cooperative (REC) member-owners now have the opportunity to participate in the Cooperative’s 2026 Director Elections. The proxy designation period is now open and all member-owners are asked to submit proxy designations by July 31, 2026.

Three seats on REC’s Board of Directors will be elected during the virtual Annual Meeting on Aug. 5 at 7 p.m. The Board helps guide the Cooperative’s future and represents the interests of the members who own REC.

Members have multiple ways to participate in the election:

  • Assign your vote before the meeting by completing a Proxy Designation Form. Forms will be mailed to all members. Check your mail in early July.
  • Complete the online proxy designation form using the email received if REC has a valid email on file. Or log in to your MyREC SmartHub account and click Vote Now.

Completed proxy forms must be received by 5 p.m. on Friday, July 31.

If you do not plan to register to attend the online meeting live, REC encourages you to assign your vote in advance through the proxy designation form. Members who prefer to vote live during the virtual Annual Meeting must register between 7 a.m. on Monday, July 27, and 5 p.m. on Friday, July 31. Only registered members will receive instructions to join the meeting and vote live on Aug. 5.
